Cats of foxclan
When the cats split from their original of the group, Marmalade lead his group over to the meadow at the edge of the forest filled with tall grass, wildflowers, and shrubs. He named this new clan Foxclan, and himself Foxstar, out of respect for the canids that were the main predators of the territory.
There hasn't been time for significant features to develop in order to differentiate Foxclan from the other two, but they tend towards being lithe cats with pale or warm colored fur.
The Territory
Foxclan territory is situated just beneath south of Otterclan's, in a large clearing full of wildflowers, bushes, and tall grass.
A creek splits off from the main, central river of the territories and runs through the middle of Foxclan territory. It's named Marmalade's Run, after the late Foxstar's loner name.
Cats in this territory must be wary of foxes, coyotes, large birds, and snakes. They primarily eat rodents, rabbits and hares, and smaller birds.
Their camp is a dug-out, shallow hole in the ground surrounded by dense brush. The dens are dug into the walls of the camp. There are a few hidden entrances, including a tunnel that leads to a spot near the creek. The leader stands on a rock in the middle of camp for clan meetings.
Culture & Customs
Adapting to their meadowy territory, Foxclan cats use the tall brush and grass to their advantage. Before hunting they often roll themselves in flowers and grasses to mask their scent from prey. Other than that, their hunting practices are fairly normal.
They're fairly secretive cats who keep to themselves more often than not. While they are loyal to their clan, they tend to only be close with a few other cats at a time.
They host a festival of sorts in their territory at the beginning of every Newleaf known as the blossom festival. This is a festival to celebrate the cats surviving Leafbare, and honors Sunrise, a mischievous god of the territories dedicated to Newleaf and Greenleaf.
